Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Luna Care complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, phone, date of birth), clinical information you provide (questions, symptoms, attachments, doctor responses), appointment metadata, and basic device/usage information needed to run the service securely.
Why we collect it
To connect you with verified doctors, to deliver consultations, to keep a clinical record of your care, to send service notifications, and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the doctor you consult or the doctor assigned to your question can see your clinical information. We never sell your data. Operational sub-processors (cloud hosting, video provider, email/SMS delivery) handle data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required by Nigerian medical record-keeping guidance. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to clinical records is restricted to you, your assigned doctor, and a small operations team bound by confidentiality.
Your rights
Under the NDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights email support@luna-care.health.
Children
Luna Care is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent.
International transfers
Where data is processed outside Nigeria, we ensure equivalent safeguards as required under the NDPR.
